About
World Wide Hype explains major global stories (politics, economics, conflict, climate, technology and society) twice a day, at 00:00 and 07:00 UTC. Each post covers one story: what happened, the background, why it matters and what to watch next.
Who runs it
The site is run by edik-choi as an independent project. It has no advertisers, sponsors or political affiliation.
How posts are made
Every post is researched and written by AI (Anthropic's Claude) following a fixed editorial process:
- Stories are chosen from the previous 24 to 48 hours, rotating across topics and regions.
- Every fact is checked against at least two reputable sources, such as Reuters, AP, BBC, Al Jazeera, or government and international-organization releases. Anything that cannot be verified is left out or explicitly attributed.
- Numbers, dates and names are copied exactly as the sources give them.
- Infographics are drawn for each post using only figures from its cited sources.
- The tone is neutral and explanatory: no opinion, no speculation.
The sources used for every post are listed at the end of it, so you can read the original reporting.
Corrections
AI can make mistakes. If you spot an error, please report it on GitHub. Confirmed errors are corrected in the post.
